If you believe your system is infected, there are a few things you can do to help prevent loss of data and other security issues:

• DO Disconnect your system from the internet and disable all wireless connections to the Internet.
• DO NOT Enter Credit card information in order to pay for applications that offer clean your system from perceived Infections or Virus activity.
• DO NOT Enter personal Bank Accounts or other online accounts which require a password.
  

REMEMBER ...

Virus infections can sometimes download multiple applications by creating an open doorway on your system to sites that will run scripts to download even more to your computer. If you are connected to the Internet, even while trying to remove such infections, you may unwittingly load additional worms, virus, or Rogue applications on your system which can cause additional problems.

ALWAYS disconnect your system fromt he WEB or Internet before attempting to remove a virus or worm.

If you want to try to repair the infection yourself, a suggestion may be to download any tools or applications for such removal from a system that is not infected, copy them onto a CD or DVD, and then run those applications on the infected machine.

If this does not work, another suggestion is to attempt to reboot and then start the system up in "Safe Mode".

You can do this by pressing the F8 key just after the BIOS screen clears and before the Windows Startup screen appears. Choose "SAFE MODE" from the available options. When the system is loaded attempt the removal or repair by running whatever tools you have downloaded to the CD from within" Safe Mode".

If your system shows a popup explaining that you have various Infections or Virus activity and the popup is not from your existing anti virus or malware protection services, or from Windows, do not execute the application. Many Rogue applications will hide behind popups that appear to be viable applications that reside on your computer.
